Back in May, I went to Rome, Florence and Venice and it was a glorious excursion of delectable food including dessert (plus art, history and all that stuff). Let’s run through them, shall we?

Spaghetti Carbonara

In Canada, when I see a carbonara dish on the menu, it’s usually penne pasta with a creamy garlic sauce and bacon and mushrooms. So when the description of a Spaghetti Carbonara stated it was served with eggs in very restaurant I went to in Italy, I was hesitant and held off on ordering it until much later in my trip… what a fool I was.
